Buffalo known for three things.

As shown above picture that last year in Buffalo area got bury with

5 to 7 feet(152cm to 213cm)  of snow from November 17th through 21st. 

First one is snow country because of lake effect from Lake ontario.
Some New Yorker think or consider Buffalo as other state.
As it located almost north and west tip of New York State, the distance about 400 miles 

(644km) from New York City, where half of the New Yorker live in that vicinity.

Second is Niagara Fall which located about half an hour north of driving distance.
I believe one of the popular tourist destination in US, especially from Canadian side as

it offer panoramic view of the falls.

Third one is Buffalo Chicken Wing. Especially fried chicken wing portion with

added spice and hot was instant and addictive taste from first bite to many Korean.
One time three of us ate 100 pieces of wings with beer for dinner

while looking out the window view of snowing landscape.
The origination of Buffalo Wings goes back to the owner of Anchor Bar restaurant
came up with recipe when her son brought over his friends on 1964 Friday night.

Now it has been so popular that it ship to worldwide.
Also National Buffalo Wing Festival taking place at Coca-Cola Field

in downtown Buffalo, New York since 2001.
